Grant Manager

As our company is growing, we are currently looking for a talented Grant Manager. We offer an open-ended contract in a company of human-size in full development, with a short reporting line and a committed management.

Main responsibilities:

As Grant Manager, you will provide daily support to the Scientific Leader and you will:

  • Work with our organization in enhancing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective grant programs
  • Manage grant proposal design, submission, oversight, monitoring, and reporting
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with principal investigators as well as academic partners, field experts, industrial partners to monitor and carry out projects on time.
  • Act as a liaison between Walloon Region, Research Administrations, Health Clusters (such as BioWin) and consortium partners to ensure that pre- and post-award requirements are met
  • Manage day-to-day post-award administration for a complex portfolio of grants (from award setup to closeout).
  • Track and report back on results, summarize research findings, ensure deliverables and timelines are met, manage communication with relevant parties.
  • Interact with consortium partners or internal R&D lab to setup experimental protocols, ensure that experimental designs are met and follow-up on timelines.
  • Review documents to ensure compliance with institutional and external policies.
  • Prepare financial reports in compliance with internal guidelines.
  • Scientific watch: literature review, and interactions with colleagues and physicians (pulmonologists) to gain a better understanding of the pulmonary field.
  • Provide planning and coordination of meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your professional profile:
  • Educational background: Scientific or life science BSc, MSc
  • Experience: at least 3 years professional experience with grant proposal submission, monitoring, and reporting in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Knowledge in inhalation products and the respiratory field would be an asset.
  • Experience in research and evaluation methods, including experience with qualitative data collection and quantitative data analysis
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Languages: Fluency in English and French (written and oral) is required
